Biofuels are also an environmentally friendly energy source. It’s been around for a very long time and lately, people are starting to take serious notice.
Liquid biofuels which is the one utilized in cars is a natural and renewable domestic fuel that can only be employed for diesel engines. This is often made from vegetable oils namely soy and corn. The nice thing about this is that it contains no petroleum, is nontoxic and biodegradable.
By fueling your car with biofuel, you decrease the pollutants since it doesn’t emit anything. At this time, it is the only fuel approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has passed every Heath-Effects Test of the Clean Air Act and meets the requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

A lot of people these days are into the idea of the usage of biofuel because they believe that it is the best source of heat in terms of carrying out their daily home activities. There is a vast availability of biofuel in the market and the use of it is widely known by many people.
With wood pellet stoves, there is no need to feed wood constantly just like using the wood stoves. Wood pellets are widely sold these days, making it easy for you to secure one for your home.
The market has somehow missed the idea of a wood biofuel that has no processing requirement needed in order for it to produce heat. Fossil fuels are still widely used and the reason for this is that there is still a majority number of individuals who have not recognized that biofuel from wood is one thing that can be budget friendly.

A gasification fire wood boiler is a furnace which is based on the process of utilizing wood gas to form ultra heated air to heat your family’s hot water neds. They provide a clean and highly efficient way to obtain home heating. The boilers are very green as they use significantly less wood than regular boilers and also the energy resource itself – wood – is carbon neutral.
The primary difference between a gasification wood boiler and a traditional wood furnace would be the burning techniques. Traditional wood boilers depend on the burning up of wood as being the combustion supply whereas within the gasification process the wood is initially turned into a gas (amazingly) and then it is this wood gas that is used as the combustion source. The thermal processes that occur when burning wood gas are more productive when compared to the thermal processes that occur when burning raw wood.

It is clear that we cannot rely on an endless oil supply and as world reserves of oil dwindle we need to consider what impact replacement energy sources will have on the planet. Biofuel has been promoted as one such alternative. The implication is that we will be able to maintain our current lifestyle by using oil substitutes in the same manner as we have done for the past one hundred years.
That’s a good goal, but we need to ask ourselves how realistic it is. What are the costs and consequences involved? Biofuel is the process of turning sugar from plants into alcohols such as ethanol which can then be used in the place of petroleum products. Plant sugars fall into two broad groups and each has different profitability when used for conversion to fuel.

Vast amounts of effluent produced as a by product of ethanol production has led the Ethanol Company Limited (ETHCO) to new innovations in using the left over sludge. For every liter of ethanol that is produced, 13 liters of effluent sludge is sent through to ponds for evaporation. Together with the sludge that is discharged, 1 tonne of sludge sediment is left to lie at the bottom of the mash clarifier, a sludge sedimentation tank mounted between the beer tank and the fermenting vessels. Eliminating this waste before distillation would mean that there would be less scaling in the distillation column and a much smaller level of clogging in the pipes leading to the evaporation ponds. However, with this advantage, another waste disposal problem is created as more sludge sediment is removed from the system.
