is a research scientist at Instituto Investigaciones Electricas (IIE) in Mexico,
specialising in reservoir physics and modelling.
After graduating with a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Buenos
Aires (Argentina) in 1978, he began work at the Earth Science Division of
Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) in California.
In 1982 he moved to IIE and has worked on the geothermal fields in North
and Central America. Eduardo has
served twice as a Director of IGA (1992-98, 2001-); during his first term as
Chairman of the IGA Information Committee and currently as Chair of the
Nominating Committee. He has served
on the Organising Committees for the WGC1995 and WGC2000, both times as Chair of
the Publications and Information Sub-Committee, and was lead Editor for the
Proceedings of these congresses. Eduardo
was a founding member of the Mexican Geothermal Association and has served as
President, Vice-President and Treasurer of that association.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of Energy Sources journal.
