Leave Istanbul in the early morning of Friday 22 April and travel by air-conditioned coach around the north-eastern part of the Sea of Marmara , stopping at a tile factory in Iznik, before arriving in Bursa for lunch.  During the afternoon there is time to look around the city which was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire and is regarded as the birthplace of Karagoz shadow puppet theatre.  Enjoy a soak in the hotel thermal baths in the evening.  Leave Bursa early morning and drive south through rural Turkish towns to visit Oruçoğlu Thermal Resort at Afyon and then have lunch. After lunch, visit the Afjet central heating system before travelling on to Denizli for an overnight stop.  Leave Denizli early morning and visit the famous hot springs and travertine terraces at Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis , and then drive to Kizildere Geothermal Field for tour and lunch.  After lunch, drive over the Taurus Mountains to Antalya , arriving late afternoon on Sunday 24 April.
