April 30 - May 2, 2005 (3 Days) 

This trip will leave Antalya on the Saturday morning following the Congress (30 April) and travel over the Taurus Mountains to Denizli for lunch.  After lunch it will visit the Kizildere geothermal power station and then travel to see the famous hot springs and travertine terraces at Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis (World Heritage Site).  Dinner and overnight stay at Pamukkale.  The next morning (Sunday 1 May) the trip will travel down the Menderes Valley to visit to Ömerbeyli-Germencik Geothermal Field, then on to have lunch in Selçuk.  After lunch there will be a visit to the Virgin Mary House where it is believed that the Virgin Mary came with St. John at the end of her life (37-45 AD).  After this there will be a visit to Ephesus , another World Heritage Site, to see amongst other things the famous Library of Celsus.  The trip will have dinner and stay overnight in Kuşadasi.  The next morning the trip will visit the Seferihisar Geothermal Field and then to the pleasant seaside town of Çeşme for lunch.  After lunch the there will be a visit to the Balçova Geothermal District Heating Scheme, followed by dinner.  The trip ends in Izmir .
